Coming Home: A New Space in Bozeman, Five Years, and What It All Means
There's a building on Stadium Drive near the MSU campus that has been quietly holding space for this community for 25 years.
It was built by one of Bozeman's premier craftsmen — someone who believed that the spaces we inhabit matter, that good work deserves good materials, and that a building should feel like it was made to last. For most of its life, it was home to a beloved local real estate brokerage. Warm wood. Natural light. Mature trees wrapping the exterior like a quiet embrace. Great parking and a park nearby. The kind of building that makes you exhale a little when you walk in.
This summer, it becomes the permanent home for Bozeman Counseling Center, at 2001 Stadium Dr. Ste A, just off of Kagy Blvd, near the Montana State University campus.
Finding the Right Space for a therapy practice in Bozeman Is Hard
When we started quietly searching for a third location, we knew what we needed: something large enough to house our full team of therapists under one roof, in a location that felt accessible and welcoming for clients, and in a market where commercial real estate is... well, it's Bozeman. You know.
Our realtors were patient. We looked. We waited. And then something unexpected happened.
A member of this community got wind that we were searching for a new home, and they believed enough in what we are building at BCC, to help make it possible. That kind of investment – someone saying “I see what you're doing and I want to be part of it” – isn't something you take lightly. We don't.
What followed was finding this space on Stadium Drive, and realizing it was exactly what we'd been looking for.
One Roof. Finally
For the past several years, Bozeman Counseling Center has operated across multiple locations. That model served us well, it let us grow, reach more of the community, and serve more clients. But it also meant our team was split and our culture was distributed. The spontaneous hallway conversations, the sense of a shared home base — those things are harder to cultivate when your team is scattered across town. The new space changes that.
It's large enough that we were able to take everything we needed — our current clinicians, our plans for growth — and consolidate into one beautiful, cohesive home. One front door, one community and one place where our team can truly work alongside each other.
For our clinicians, that matters enormously. For our clients, we think you'll feel it the moment you walk in.
What our New Space Is Like
The woodwork alone is worth mentioning. This was a building crafted with intention, and it shows in every detail, the kind of craftsmanship that reminds you why it matters who builds something and how.
The setting is peaceful. It has mature trees and a park-like feel around the building. There is nearby green space that's perfect for walk-and-talk therapy sessions. Easy access whether you're coming from campus, from Bozeman Health, or from anywhere in town. And ample parking (we all know that matters so much in Bozeman).
We've done some thoughtful remodeling to make it truly ours, and we are moving in gradually over the summer. So if you've visited recently, you may already be experiencing the new space. If you haven't yet, we can't wait to welcome you.
A Full Circle Moment
Here's the part that still gives us chills. Five years ago, Bozeman Counseling Center began in a small office space in this same neighborhood on Stadium Drive, right next door to where our new office is located .
We didn't plan it that way. But there's something quietly meaningful about it. We grew, expanded across Bozeman, built a team, served thousands of clients, and shaped a model for what a counseling practice can be — and then the path led us right back to where it started.
Bozeman Counseling Center is not the same practice we were five years ago. We're bigger, more experienced, more rooted. But we're back in the neighborhood that held us at the beginning. That feels like something worth marking.
Bozeman Counseling Center Turns 5 Years Old
This summer also marks five years since Bozeman Counseling Center opened its doors.
Five years of showing up for this community. Five years of supporting clinicians who show up for their clients. Five years of building something that we hope makes a real difference in the mental health landscape of Bozeman and beyond.
We are the largest counseling practice in Bozeman, and among the largest in Montana. We don't say that to boast, we say it because size, in our case, means capacity. It means more clinicians, more specialties, more availability, more clients served. It means being able to say yes more often. And we're just getting started.
Thank You Bozeman
Building and growing a group therapy practice does not happen without the support of this community. Without the clients who trusted us. Without the clinicians who chose to build their careers here. Without the colleagues and referral partners who believed in what we were doing. We are deeply grateful for our Bozeman community.
If you'd like to visit the new space, we'd love to have you. Come see what we've built. Come feel what we felt the first time we walked in — that quiet exhale that tells you you're somewhere that was made to hold people well.
We'll be here!
