Careers at Bozeman Counseling Center

A clinician-first practice where your growth comes first!

We hire new PCLC’s (provisionally licensed counselors) and provide them with the support, supervision, and mentorship they need to thrive. At Bozeman Counseling Center, your growth matters. We’ve built a clinician-first practice where you’ll be supported, encouraged, and equipped with the tools to thrive — not just to complete supervision hours, but to grow into a confident, authentic clinician ready for a meaningful career.

Starting Your Counseling Career?

  • Looking for connection with other therapists as you begin your career?

  • Want financial security as you get started post-graduation?

  • Excited to see clients, but overwhelmed by the business side of insurance, billing, or marketing?

  • Hoping for real business training that prepares you for the future of your career?

  • Want support in building your confidence and authentic style as a therapist?

  • Value flexibility and autonomy, but still want to be part of a supportive team?

  • Dream of a beautiful office space where you can grow as a professional?

At Bozeman Counseling Center, we do things differently. We know that starting out as a new counselor can feel overwhelming, which is why we’ve built a model that gives you both strong clinical supervision and real-world business training. Whether your long-term dream is to eventually launch your own solo practice or to grow with us as part of our team, we’ll support you every step of the way.

If this sounds like YOU, we encourage YOU to Apply to BCC!

Grow Your Career in a Clinician-First Practice

We are a different kind of group practice — holistic, innovative, fun, and connected. We are leaders in the Bozeman mental health community, and we are re-imagining what an amazing work environment can look like.

At BCC you get the best of both worlds: autonomy and independence with a flexible schedule to see your ideal clients, while at the same time, connection and support from other therapists in our office.

As a clinician, you can utilize counseling modalities and approaches that feel authentic and right for you — we never require a one-size-fits-all model.

Why Join Bozeman Counseling Center?

  • Supportive culture — sustainable caseloads, a healthy work–life balance, and supervision that invests in your growth.

  • Supervision & mentorship — weekly group supervision, individual supervision, and exposure to multiple supervisors.

  • Clinical development — expand your therapeutic toolbox, learn new approaches, and discover which clients and modalities are the best fit for you. We value ongoing in-house continuing education with monthly practice-wide training events.

  • Two career tracks — grow long-term within our collaborative practice, or prepare for your own private practice with hands-on business coaching and training.

  • Clinician-first model — every part of our practice is designed with clinician sustainability in mind.

  • Community involvement — we are active in the Bozeman community and value giving back.

Solo Track -

What makes BCC truly unique is our emphasis on business training alongside clinical development. As a therapist with two decades of experience and a former CPA, our director, Kittie Bowen, provides hands-on coaching in the business side of counseling. You’ll learn practical skills in billing, insurance navigation, caseload management, retention, HIPAA compliance, and even how to build your personal brand as a therapist.

We are proud to be an incubator practice. For those who dream of launching into solo private practice, we equip you with the clinical confidence and business skills to step out on solid ground. You’ll leave with not only the hours and supervision you need, but also the confidence to manage the realities of running a practice. Many of our clinicians who choose this path tell us they felt more prepared than their peers — because they had firsthand business coaching along the way.

Where Your Career Path Begins

At Bozeman Counseling Center, we specialize in supporting clinicians at the very beginning of their careers. Our model is built around working with graduate interns and provisionally licensed professional counselors (PCLCs). This means our entire structure — from supervision to training to mentorship — is designed with early-career growth in mind. Because of this focus, we are not currently accepting applications from fully licensed clinicians or from candidates in other licensure tracks (such as social work).

BCC Career Track -

For those who want to remain part of our team long-term, we offer clear paths for growth and advancement. Clinicians who stay at BCC can step into leadership opportunities, gain supervision training, and take on expanded roles that fit their strengths and interests.

We also make sure the financial piece makes sense. Our clinicians who remain with BCC often earn as much — or more — than they would in solo practice, without the burden of managing billing, slow insurance payments, marketing, filling their caseload, or overhead. Staying means you can focus on your clinical work, maintain work–life balance, and still reach your financial goals.

Beyond compensation, staying means deeper connection: being part of a supportive team that celebrates wins together, hosts team-building events, and values collaboration over isolation. Many clinicians choose to remain because BCC isn’t just a workplace — it’s a community.

“Whether you choose the Solo Track or the BCC Career Track, our commitment is the same: to help you grow into a confident, supported, and successful clinician.”

What Makes Us Different at Bozeman Counseling Center?

At BCC, the foundation of our difference is that we are clinician-first. Everything about our practice is designed for sustainability, professional growth, and authentic connection.

We’re also proud to be 100% locally owned and operated. Unlike national platforms — or other practices that may appear local while being owned elsewhere — every decision at BCC is made right here in Montana by people who live and work in this community. This isn’t the main thing that sets us apart, but it reflects our commitment to transparency and genuine support.

Internship Program

We also provide a robust internship program for graduate students enrolled in CACREP-accredited counseling programs. Interns can complete their practicum and internship hours with us, and are encouraged to remain at BCC to complete their post-graduate PCLC hours. This continuity creates a strong foundation of growth, mentorship, and long-term professional development. Our team of interns run our Counseling For All Budgets program which is an integral part of providing affordable counseling options for our community.

At Bozeman Counseling Center, your growth matters to us!

Our Commitment

If you join BCC, you’ll get more than supervision hours — you’ll gain:

  • The confidence to be authentic in the therapy room.

  • Business skills that help you understand the industry and your future options.

  • A supportive team that wants you to succeed, whether you stay long-term or eventually open your own practice.

At Bozeman Counseling Center, your voice matters, your expertise is respected, and your growth is supported every step of the way!
