Tika Elliot, Graduate Intern
Welcome!
I am a Graduate Student Intern at Bozeman Counseling Center and I am pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adam State University, Colorado. I am supervised by Kathryn Bowen, LCPC, who is licensed as a counselor by the State of Montana.
Since my early twenties, I have been dedicated to the path of transformation and human potential. After getting my M.A. in sociology and German literature and after a short excursion into the corporate world, I moved from Germany to Bozeman 24 years ago. Here, I worked with many groups and individuals over the years, supporting them in their growth, and eventually became a woman-centered coach.
I bring a wealth of life experience to counseling, a calm groundedness, and insight into human nature - along with lots of empathy and a good portion of humor! I hold a warm and non-judgmental space. Forming a strong connection with my clients is essential to me, and I will follow your lead with whatever brings you to counseling. Together, we will work towards your healing. I support you in feeling better quickly and in stepping into new possibilities so you can actively create what is most important to you.
I am passionate about supporting adults of all ages in their growth. I especially love to work with women who yearn to connect with their authentic selves. I see myself as a midwife for healing and unrealized potential.
Originally from Germany, I have called Bozeman my home since 2001. I am married and have a cat, Lino, known as the most active mouser in the Gallatin Valley. Being creative is my passion, as I feel most alive when I connect to the creative spark within. I am an artist painting abstract mixed media. Besides painting, I love singing, dancing, playing guitar, writing, cooking, and eating. I enjoy hiking and being outside, going to concerts, discovering new and interesting things and places, and spending time with my family and friends.
